TASTING NOTES:
The "virgin" harvest of very rare Pinot noir FIN from Čtvrtě vineyard, that we searched for for a long time. It aged for 14 months in Francois Freres barriques. The colour is typical for the Pinot noir from Čtvrtě terroir - garnet red with gold edges. The wine is rich in taste, you can find cherries, blue fruits, chocolate in the taste. Long persistence, the elegance. We bottled a small number of bottles, without added SO2. We continue with this in the 2025 vintage - one new Francois Freres barrique again. I am already looking forward to it.
PINOT NOIR : is one of the oldest cultivated varieties. In our country since the 14th century. We grow it in the vineyards Čtvrtě and Lumperky (Plumberg). We brought the seedlings from France. Pinot noir likes cold nights and not as warm, sunny days during the ripening, so its best quality, elegance, can shine through. Typical colour of Pinot noir is light garnet, brick red with gold edge. It has a lighter, medium-bodied impression on the palate. Young wines have refreshing acidity a usually lower tannins. You can find cherries, strawberries, raspberries in the taste, later plums, roses, delicate spices. As it ages, the wine becomes more rounded, and its delicaty and elegance come to the fore. These characteristics make it beloved by customers and one of the most valuable and expensive wines in the world.
Store Pinot noir in 12-15 degrees Celsius, in the dark and in humidity around 85%. Give the wine time after opening. Pour it into big Pinot noir glasses. The temperature of serving is important. Overchilled wines are closed, and if way too warm, they lose their elegance. 16 - 18 degrees Celsius are ideal. You can enjoy the wine in the evening while silently contemplaining and you will still be able to find new nuances in it.
